If you crave one after another Amazon Echo You skipped picking up the device for a while due to lack of support in the device and UAE, then things will be better for you.
This week Amazon sent out emails to selected UAE customers to test out some features of Amazon Alexa and provide feedback.
The email states:
Amazon invites you to play a unique role in shaping the future of Alexa!
We are looking for people interested in exploring the range of Alexa features and giving us feedback. We will use your inputs and contacts with Alexa to help improve the customer experience we provide United Arab Emirates.
The email then leads to the registration page, with a photo of Amazon Echo in the background.
At this time, support for Alexa-enabled devices (from Amazon and third parties) is not available in the UAE, and customers will need to use Amazon accounts for other locations, such as the UK or US. It also controls the type Skills available For each Echo device.
It is unclear whether this test phase will measure the interest in Alexa support or prepare for an official release in the future. Amazon has not provided further details about the proposed release date for its smart home devices, so we will have to wait and see if any further announcements will come.
