Patricia Gupta has been missing for days, her husband told a press conference organized by police in Pittsburgh, where the couple lives. The posters launched a search when her husband reported her missing a few days later, and a private detective was hired, without success. No one had ever seen this special woman who loved to preach in the streets and was known to the townspeople.
Found on the street
When an INTERPOL official and a social worker from Puerto Rico contacted them last year, they thought Patricia was living in an adult care home there.
Her husband recalled that one day, his wife had said she would “live there one day for its tropical climate”. He spent a lot of money over the years trying to find her, and contacted newspapers in Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rican health services have confirmed that the facility housed a woman who was found on the street in 1999, speaking incoherently and in poor health. In her illusion, she would have gradually revealed certain elements of her life.
