‘I do not know if any of the cases in the Connex system are related to P.1, and I do not know where it started.’ – Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry.

When Jack Wirtanen was added to the NHL’s protocol list for the Corona virus on Tuesday, the number of Vancouver Canucks on the active list rose to 18.

Add the three coaches who were affected and the two unnamed compromisers on the taxi team, and the rising numbers led to many questions and no answers. How did this happen? How was Brazil (B.1) The virus variant becomes part of the outbreak? How long should the players be isolated and when will the club return to complete some resemblance to a season? Or, do you want to?

Provincial health officer Dr Bonnie Henry said on Tuesday that the virus variant that had been identified as infected with Conox was news to her.

“I do not know if any of the cases in the Connex system are related to P1, and I do not know where it started,” Henry said. “It tells us that once the virus is caught, it can spread very quickly despite routine testing protocols to protect people as much as possible.

“My heart goes out to the cones. I know Vancouver Coast is working very closely with them to ensure that they receive support, that team members and their families are evaluated and tested, and that they receive the health care they need. This is a reminder to all of us. The virus spreads rapidly among young people, sometimes causing them a more serious illness. Even with the best of intentions, people can go inside without even recognizing it.

“It simply came to our notice then. We have seen an increase in P1 over the last few months or weeks, which is a strain we are screening. There are 877 confirmed cases with this B.1, 106 active cases. Most cases are in the Vancouver Coastal Health Area, primarily in the Lower Mainland, and at good rates in Whistler. ”

In the Middle Ages, Connaught was a firm believer that frustration reigned supreme. A veteran player, who wanted to remain unidentified, continues to suffer significant headaches behind the eyes, Postmedia News reported. He lost his sense of taste and smell on Tuesday as he thought he was recovering.

Niles Hoaglander, Jalan Chatfield, Mark Michaelis, Travis Boyd, Bo Harvard, Jayce Howriluk, Tyler Motte, Brandon Sutter, Tyler Myers, Thatcher Demco, Alex Edler, Quinn Hughes, Chock McDowan, Other list players on the Travis Ham protocol list.

Knox plans to meet with the league and address the media at some point.

Citing examples from other teams with COVID-19 issues, the NHL believes that Knox can somehow end their season. Two months ago, the New Jersey Devils League’s protocol list had 17 players, and the team was closed for two weeks. The Dallas stars tested 17 players at training camp, and the first three games of the 2020-21 regular season were postponed.

However, the virus variant did not exist then. It is now and it is a beast.

The B1 variant is three times more contagious and attacks the 20- to 39-year-old bracket, which is the population of Connox. They were scheduled to play in Edmonton on Saturday, which has now become the Oilers in Calgary. This pushes the Canucks postponed games to a total of six.

According to the medical community, people with the virus variant may develop respiratory system problems, shortness of breath and inflammation, and the timeline for recovery is uncertain. In BC, the B1 variant came quickly. Initially, there were no significant number of cases, and I thought it was no more than 50 percent contagious.

Because Conax is so badly affected, they are now under investigation.

“In the future, if any other variations are found, we should consider the worst and control the behaviors and public-health practices,” said Dr. Brian Conway, head and chief medical officer of the Vancouver Center for Infectious Diseases. “It simply came to our notice then.

“Let’s learn next time.”
