Elderly man moved to the ground at New York supermarket, female hair caught in recent potential anti-Asian attacks in New York City – NBC New York

The NYPD’s despicable criminal task force is investigating two other possible attacks on Asian victims in Brooklyn, in one case Monday, when a 77 – year – old man was seen moving a vegetable to the ground, officials say.

At 11:15 a.m. that day, a man was checking a stand in front of the J&R NY supermarket on Avenue U on Sheephead Bay.

The victim sustained some injuries to his hand, but refused medical attention at the scene.

In another attack in Midwood at 7:45 a.m. on March 22, a man walked up to a 32-year-old Asian woman and grabbed her by the hair. He was able to see the two fighting in the surveillance video as he grabbed his grip. Eventually, he freed her and walked down Kings Highway. No words were exchanged in that case. The victim also refused medical treatment at the scene.

No arrests were made in either case. Anyone with information about the attacks is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPs.
