Morrisons announces big change for supermarket shoppers with dots card

Morrisons has announced a major shift in its popular loyalty program, which will affect shoppers in every one of its UK supermarkets.

Customers who use the Morrison More card to collect points in the store can only do so for a limited time.

From next week Morrisons will roll out its card plan for future customers in favor of a mobile app.

Under the current plan, customers receive five points for every 1 they spend – 5,000 points worth £ 5 vouchers at the supermarket.

But it will be discontinued from May 10 – i.e. the last day for collecting points is May 9 – by switching to use.

Instead of getting points, shoppers should use the Morrisons More app on their phone or online to get digital coupons that can be used for instant storage in stores.

These will be personalized offers based on what customers buy, transferring pounds points from your next store.

Morrisons will stop making more cards – this means that if you lose or damage it will not be replaced.

However, customers can still use their current card from May 10 – but again, you will not collect points on it, you will still need the application or will have to sign in online to activate the offers.

The cut-off point for requesting any points you created before the changes came is August 9, 2021.

Vouchers can be retrieved through the application or through the Morrisons website or by printing at the store.

Once you request them, they are valid for 56 weeks.

Since you can only get vouchers for multiples of £ 5 from Morrisons, the remaining points that cannot be circled up to this amount will be lost.

For example, if you have a balance of 6,000 points, you can redeem 5,000 points for a 5 point voucher, leaving the remaining 1,000 points blank.

If your £ 5 vouchers are set to print automatically at the store, these will appear when you scan the next card.

On its website, Morrisons said: “We listen to our customers and they tell us that they want to offer offers and instant rewards, instead of making points.

“Customers tell us they want to give back to their communities and support the environment by living without plastic and paper as much as possible.

“In response to this we will remove the points offered through the More App on your mobile phone and website and go for an instant reward based plan.”
