Robbers steal wine from Eastbourne supermarket

A Sussex police spokesman said: “At around 00.15am on Monday (May 3), police received a report of a robbery at a Sainsbury’s shop on Eastbourne Beach.

“A man and a woman tried to enter the shop before entering. A large number of bottles of wine were taken from inside.

“Officers attended and conducted an extensive area search for the suspects, but no trace was found.”
