Russia decides on its role in ISS after 2024 – Roscosmos – Science and Space

Moscow, April 18. / DOS /. Russia’s state space agency Roscosmos’ press service told TASS that Russia will decide whether to continue its work on the International Space Station after 2024, depending on its technical status and plans to build a national orbital station.

“We have agreed to operate the station with our ISS partners – 2024. After this period, a decision will be made based on the technical condition of the station’s modules, whose service life is largely outdated, as well as our new generation National Orbital Service Station, which we plan to establish.” Roscosmos said.

Roscosmos stressed that once a decision is made on these issues, negotiations with partners will begin after 2024 on terms and forms of cooperation.
