Tesco updates create mask rules for every UK supermarket while making locking easier

Tesco has updated customer rules for wearing face masks in its stores while making locking easier.

The supermarket company has seen an increase in shoppers trying to enter stores without masks over the past few weeks.

As a result, it has received many complaints.

However, Tesco has made it clear that its rules apply, and that all shoppers are required to wear a mask when shopping in stores – unless exempt.

In a statement, a Tesco spokesman said Birmingham Live : “Since the onset of the epidemic, we have focused on ensuring that everyone can get the food they need in a safe environment.

“To protect our customers and colleagues, we will not allow anyone who does not cover their face into our stores unless they are exempt from government guidance.

“We ask our customers to shop alone as a caregiver or not with children. We will have extra security in stores to support our colleagues and help manage this.”
