The Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago (SADT) has said it is ready to help Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVGs) following their operation in La Sfrier.
In a statement, SATT noted the eruption of La Sofrier, the plight of SVG citizens, which the association described as “extremely distressing” for the CARICOM community.
SATT said it was ready to assist humanitarian efforts involving supplies and food and to raise funds for immediate disaster relief efforts.
The association said discussions were already underway with other voluntary organizations about the logistics of such initiatives through its machinery.
“Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with the SVG people at this time. As we continue to work together to provide relief, we are ready to continue to engage in our charter of humanitarian efforts,” Chad concluded.
