Toronto police broke into a major party city over the weekend and charged the state with two dozen charges under emergency management and civil defense law.

At 1:30 a.m. Sunday, the 52 Division COVID-19 enforcement team was called to a commercial building in the Horan and Dandas Street West areas.

Neighbors who heard loud music complained.

Police arrived to find about 150 people in the building, none of whom were wearing masks.

Many of them escaped – but police were able to charge 24 people and confiscate $ 13,000 worth of liquor.
