A Texas tourist was locked away in midtown Manhattan Sunday morning where she and another woman were robbed with a knife, cops said.
Police said the two women, who have not been released, were outside West 45th Street and 11th Avenue around 12:30 a.m. when two men approached them and demanded their property.
Police said one of the robbers was carrying a knife and took the victim’s handbag and cell phone.
According to the police, the tourist was locked up, but no property was taken from her. It was not clear where the second woman came from.
Police said one of the robbers was described as a Hispanic man wearing a black hat, black jacket, white shirt and black pants.
The policemen did not have a description of the second suspected man.
The wallet was found empty.
Neither victim was injured.
