Ukraine announced on Sunday that more than 1,000 Russian soldiers had been killed.
If it is always difficult to confirm information provided by either side since the beginning of the war, the Ukrainian army has not reported killing so many Russian soldiers in 24 hours.
According to Ukrainian officials, between Saturday March 11 and Sunday March 12, 1,090 Russian soldiers were killed during the day, including 239 on the front lines near Pakmut.

The previous “record” was February 7, when 1,030 Russian soldiers fell in a single day.
In a video, Oleksandr Shtubun, a spokesman for the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, announced the elimination of eight Russian tanks, seven armored fighting vehicles and four artillery systems in the fighting.
On the first anniversary of the outbreak of war, Western intelligence services estimated that 200,000 Russian soldiers were dead or maimed. A balance that is twice as high on the Ukrainian side.
