The Oscars continued tonight with the Screen Actors Guild Awards, the 27th installment of which aired at the one-hour, airing ceremony, partly filmed in the Holy Auditorium in Los Angeles. After all, this year’s SAG Awards received a host; Instead, the festival was held together with documentary-style interviews – zoom fatigue in the titles, uncomfortable headshots and Helen Mirren watching a bear in the Sierra Nevada mountains (we didn’t, she raised it) – and pre-taped comedy-friendly paintings Ted Lasso Riff who booked this year’s show. The SAG Awards honor both film and television, and with a substantial voting system with the acting branches of both the Oscars and the Emmys, an SAG win serves well for both of those awards. This year Four major S.A.G. Picture The awards went on Chadwick Bosman, Viola Davis, Daniel Kalua, and Yu-Jung Yoon all walked away with victories.
