San Diego Comic-Con had booked Hall H for a presentation from Legendary, which I heard was strutting Dune: Part Two and the studio’s next Monsterverse movie, however, that’s not happening right now because of the SAG-AFTRA strike.

This is sad because appearances by Zendaya, Timothee Chalamet, and Florence Pugh would have generated some much-needed fire for what is already a sleepy amputee fan, who has been hit hard by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA hit. Denis Villeneuve’s sequel to the multi-Oscar-winning film was already making its stop at CinemaCon in April where the first trailer was shown. Dune: Part Two It is currently scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. on November 3. In the sequel, Chalamet’s Paul Atreides teams up with Zendaya’s Chani and the desert Fremen tribe while seeking revenge on the conspirators who destroyed his family.

Television networks have been planning and preparing to hit SAG-AFTRA at their Comic-Con programming and those venturing to America’s Finest City, like FX, are planning to show episodes and clips from series like Archer.

Paramount will still be holding its exclusive appearance at Hall H on the tent pole programmed for the month of August, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: MayhemOn Thursday, July 20th at 11:30 a.m.
