Red Dead Redemption is headed to the Switch next week, and ahead of its release, a number of comparison trailers have surfaced online to compare the Nintendo version against current releases.
This is new from Cycu1 YouTube channelis a side-by-side version of the Switch version and the game running on Xbox Series X. The earlier released footage was a live screenshot of the game running on the original Xbox 360 hardware, while this latest clip shows the backwards compatibility version.
It runs in full 4K and caps at 30fps on this platform. As explained by our team in Pure Xbox, you can see some noticeable changes in the Switch port – with what appears to be an increase in color saturation. The foliage in some scenes seems to look a little different, too.
It’s worth noting that Rockstar hasn’t actually released official technical specs for the Switch and PlayStation 4 versions of the game yet, but they’re referring to it as a “new conversion,” rather than a direct port. Stay tuned for more Red Dead footage on Switch when the game returns next week.
