This is your place to check updates and comment along with the Washington Capitals vs Anaheim Ducks game on March 1, 2023.
The Washington Capitals enter the Anaheim Ducks game tonight as a shell of their own before.
Capitals General Manager Brian MacLellan has traded five different pending UFAs over the past week including Dmitry Orlov, Garnet Hathaway, Erik Gustafsson, Marcus Johansson and Lars Eller. The Caps have five unrestricted free agents remaining on the roster, Conor Cherry, Nicholas Op-Coppel, Trevor Van Riemsdyk, Craig Smith and Matt Irwin.
One of the Capitals’ newest, young defender Rasmus Sanden, will not play tonight due to visa issues, which means Matt Irwin and Dylan McElrath return in the third double.
At this point, losing and losing a lot is more beneficial to the Capitals than winning. While this isn’t fun, let’s try to enjoy this as much as possible.
Tonight’s game on NBC Sports Washington. Puck drop shortly after 10 p.m.
