CPR was provided and 911 called, but police stated that Kyle succumbed to her “illness.” According to Kyle’s family, the 42-year-old was born in Claremont, New Hampshire. She was a star swimmer and spent much of her youth competing all over the country. USA Swimming released a statement following Kyle’s death. “Jimmy was a proud member of our national teams in the late 1990s and was a cherished teammate,” said Lindsay Mintenko, managing director of the national team, “Our condolences go out to Jimmy’s friends and family.” One of her friends told News9. “It was just that she was such a lovely person. She had such a big heart. She was really loving and kind and lovable and popular on the island and everyone knew her.” She worked at a local coffee shop, where she interacted with many people in the community, her friends said. “Everyone from the older generations, the local families to the young, everyone loved it,” her friend said. At about 12 am, Cail’s friend left a local bar to check on her at their home. When he got home, he saw her on the ground, according to the police.
With the help of a friend, the man managed to get Kyle into a car and drive her to the Myra Keating Smith Clinic, police said.
At the clinic, CPR was administered and 911 called, but the police stated that Kyle succumbed to her “illness”.
