MIAMI, FL (WFLA) β€” Rapper Migos Quavo was among a number of people on a yacht where a strong-arms robbery occurred Sunday night, according to the Miami Beach Police Department.

Police said the incident was reported shortly before 9 p.m. on North River Drive.

According to the report, Quavo, whose real name is Quavious Keyate Marshall, 32, was with a group of people on a charter yacht. They are told that the rental time is running out and the boat needs to be returned.

That’s when police said two men, Cornell Whitfield, 39, of Texas, and Antene Workinah, 32, of Georgia, “became extremely aggressive” towards the boat’s captain and crew and “demanded money back.”

The police report stated that the boat’s captain alleged that Whitefield told him that if he turned around, he would “kill him and throw him overboard”. The captain also told police that Whitefield removed the wallet from his pocket, which contained about $3,500, and his phone before threatening another crew member.

According to the police, Whitfield told the crew member that if the rent money was not returned, he would “kill him, too.” This member then went to retrieve the money, about $5,000, from one of the rooms.

Eventually the boat owner was contacted and law enforcement notified.

Based on the police report, the boat’s captain told officials that Whitfield followed a crew member into the room to retrieve the money. However, a crew member gave a conflicting statement to police, saying he was not followed into the room.

MBPD confirmed that while the people were being held for questioning, no arrests were made due to the totality of conflicting circumstances and statements.

β€œIt should be noted that although two firearms were present at the scene, no firearm threats were made. There were no cameras on the boat that faced the scene of the alleged incident,” the report states.

The police department said all the individuals involved left the scene without incident. The investigation is underway.
