The PlayStation 5 (PS5) Pro is aiming for a November 2024 release.
According to a new report from gaming keyPS5 Pro, codenamed “Project Trinity,” is already holding demo events to show off the improvements. He also stated that “the majority” of studios will receive development kits by late November 2023.
In terms of specs, they were hard to come by, according to the report. However, there are two things we do know that the PS5 Pro will have 18,000 MT/s memory and 30 WGP (Working Set Processor).
Performance goals for PS5 include improved frames per second (FPS) as well as better 4K FPS stability performance, an 8K Performance Mode, and accelerated ray tracing.
Last on the report is that the PS5 Pro will likely be Sony’s last major hardware release for the current generation. After that, the focus is expected to shift to PlayStation 6 development.
