Tennessee baseball is in win-now mode.
The No. 1 team (54-12) faces Evansville (39-25) on Sunday (6 p.m. ET, ESPNU) at Lindsey Nelson Stadium in Game 3 of the Knoxville Super Regional tournament. The winner will go to the College World Series, while the loser will have their season ended.
Tennessee won Friday’s opener 11-6 to gain the upper hand in the three-game series before Evansville came back to win 10-8 on Saturday to tie the series.
UT is seeking a third trip to Omaha in the past four seasons under coach Tony Vitiello. She is also seeking to avoid losing at major regional tournaments twice in three years as the No. 1 overall seed.
