DENVER (KDVR) — Tens of thousands of Taylor Swift fans took to Empower Field at Mile High for the second night of the Eras Tour stop in Denver.
The concert brought large crowds from downtown to see the longtime singer.
“We actually went to Arizona a few months ago to see her first show on the tour,” Rice told me, “Swiftie,” on Saturday’s show. “Now, we’re really excited to know the track list, to know the songs, and to anticipate everything.”
Rice said she has been a fan of Swift for over a decade and has attended either nine or ten Swift concerts.
“I saw her in Ireland for the first time in 2011,” said Rice. “Now I’m going to Portugal next year to see her on another tour that I just announced.”
He grew up with Taylor Swift’s music
Rice explained that there is a connection with the pop star because she said she grew up with her music.
“We’re the same age. I remember when I was 15 and I told my mom about this new song that just came out called ‘Tim McGraw,'” said Rice. “I mean, it’s richer, but besides that, we’re very similar.”
Other fans who were down before the second night said it was the first time they’d seen Swift perform.
“Seeing a superstar in the prime of her career would be amazing,” said Alex Trujillo.
He and his friend Zack Kiss were outside fooling around before going to the stadium to see Swift.
“It’s the atmosphere, I think it’s the biggest concert of my generation,” said Case.
According to fans who went on the first night, Swift started performing around 7:50 p.m. and was on stage for about three and a half hours.
“She has a real grip on this generation,” said Rice.
