The news is the latest in a series of apparent leaks regarding the upcoming fighting game. Earlier this week, Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada chirp: “I am aware of some minor information leaks. They contain outdated information that has already been changed or deleted.

Not only that, but the source of the leaks has mostly been identified. The information currently leaked is only provided to organizations that dare to participate in debugging and localization.

“The following leak will identify the individual leaker (we have prepared different parts of the ROM for each organization (internal and external) and font within development, this will work in the future).”

Before the obvious release date was discovered, images from last month’s EVO event surfaced to confirm the listing’s recent leak.

The images, which show the character Steve and a look at the menu, were taken at Tekken 8 at EVO, where players were given the chance to try out the game.

The full listing of the game was allegedly leaked last month thanks to Cheat Engine, a PC app that allows players to tinker with their games via various community-created scripts.

Tekken 8 was officially announced in September 2022 during the PlayStation State of Play live stream. The game is scheduled to be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.

In February, Bandai Namco streamed a 36-minute walkthrough of the gameplay mechanics of Fighting Part 2, including the heat system, rage system, and recovery meter.
