Gigi Hadid has admitted she’s a “nebo baby” – saying she doesn’t consider herself “the most beautiful person in the world.”
The supermodel is one of the most successful runway stars in the world, along with her sister Bella Hadid, but she admits to having some much needed help getting to the top.
“Technically, I’m a nepotism child,” Hadid said. Times of London. “My parents came from very little.”
She added, “I’ve always acknowledged that I belong in the franchise.”
The supermodel, whose real name is Jelena Hadid, 27, is the daughter of Dutch supermodel Yolanda Hadid, who also starred on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” from 2012 through 2016.
Meanwhile, her father is Palestinian-born real estate developer and real estate mogul Mohamed Hadid.
Gigi added, “My parents told me, ‘Just because you have two successful parents, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t apply to the job being as kind and hard-working as you can be.'”

Gigi added that she doesn’t think she’s “the most beautiful person in the world” and “would probably do” with some Botox.
On her journey to global stardom, Gigi landed her first show when she was just two years old.
She went on to work with Victoria’s Secret, before making her New York Fashion Week debut in 2014.
Since then, she’s walked the catwalk of pretty much every fashion house, and landed on the cover of every fashion magazine.
Hadid’s comments about nepotism came three months later Eagle published an article Drop the names of all the people in Hollywood who have benefited from being the children of famous parents.
Among those named are Lottie Moss, half-sister of Kate Moss; O’Shea Jackson Jr., son of rapper Ice Cube; and Lily Allen, daughter of actor Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen.
While most celebrities have chosen to remain silent about it, actress Jamie Lee Curtis recently joked about being a product of nepotism during her monologue at the 2023 SAG Awards.
“I got my SAG card when I was 19, when I signed a seven-year contract with Universal Studios and starred in an ABC TV series called ‘Operation Petticoat,’ which was based on the movie my dad, Tony Curtis – nepo baby – said. Shine in,” Curtis said last month.
“The current conversation about newborns is only designed to try to diminish, distort and harm. For the record, I have lived 44 years with the benefits that fame has brought me associated and mirrored.
She concluded, “I don’t pretend there isn’t anything, trying to tell me I don’t have any value on my own.”
