Sony warns that PS5 stock will be lower in 2022

(Pocket-Lind) – If you’re always waiting to get your hands on the PlayStation 5, you hate to break it, but you still have to wait a long time.

Speaking to analysts after the latest revenue report, its CFO said Sony did not expect the distribution situation to improve this year. Hiroki Totoki said he could not pursue Sony’s request Bloomberg, And expects this to continue into 2022. “Even though we are securing many more devices and producing multiple units of the PlayStation 5 next year, our supply will not be able to catch up,” Totoki said.

Sony expects to produce at least 14.8 million PS5 consoles in the fiscal year beginning April 2021. It has sold 7.8 million as of March 31, 2021.

Sony boss Jim Ryan said recently Financial Times The PS5 supply will be better throughout 2021: “The pace of improvement in the supply chain will be picked up throughout the year, so when we get to the second half, you’re going to see really decent numbers.”
