The supermarket sweepstakes in Wayne County serves local emergency services

WAYMART, Pa. – Won a shopping spree Saturday night at a supermarket in Wayne County.

The Hayes Market on Roosevelt Highway in Weimart sold raffle tickets for a few weeks.

On Saturday, the grand prize winner had the opportunity to catch what their heart wanted for a three-minute sweep across the store.

“For those in need of groceries during epidemics, not only for the fire department, but also for refund data, we had a great time. All the supermarkets were an essential business. Building in the local community is very important to me.

The money raised from the raffle tickets will go to the Forest City Fire Department in nearby Susquehanna County. In all, about $ 5,000 was raised for emergency services at a supermarket in Wayne County.
